AN ANNOUNCEMENT
My contributions to this blog will be somewhat sporadic over the next few months, since I am currently travelling through Central and East Asia and won’t have internet access very often. I shall try to update every so often with the weird and wonderful food I’ll be eating. Actually, it’s more likely to be nothing but rice for the next three months, but we shall see…
was wondering if you might be able to do me a favour - I just paid for my tour in Tibet via Paypal, who have now restricted my account. Unfortunately the only ways to get it unrestricted and for the payment to go through, are for them to call my landline (obviously, not going to work as I don't have one) or for me to send them documents in confirmation of my address/credit card/bank, which isn't going to work either as they're all in storage. And the address that Paypal have is my London address so none of my bank stuff is going there any more anyway. I have tried to call customer services but all I get on either number is a recorded message in a foreign language. Could you please try ringing them for me to see if there's any way of sorting this out? I'm probably not going to be online again now for a couple of weeks so it's not very urgent, but if you could speak to them that would be really helpful. If you don't have time, don't worry, I'll ask Ellie if she can do it.
