KFC - A LOVE SONG
I'm not sure why I wrote this as I hate KFC (not that it's my kind of place anyway, being a vegetarian). In my defence, I was very bored at the time.
I will arise and go now, and go to KFC
And a small bucket buy there, of fries and drumsticks made
Some baked beans shall I have there, sized for the family
And eat alone in the greasy shade.
And I shall gain some weight there, for fat comes dripping slow
Dripping from the deep-fat fryer to where the cash till rings
There midnight's harshly strip-lit, and noon a neon glow
And evening full of the chicken's wings.
I will arise and go now, for always night and day
I hear my stomach rumbling with low sounds like a roar
While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey,
I feel it in my clogged heart's core.
