CHOO-CHOO CHAMPAGNE
St Pancras International has to be far and away the most glamorous train station in London (admittedly this may not sound like much of an accolade, but bear with me). As well as the superb architecture and tempting boutiques, it also boasts the longest champagne bar in Europe: this was something I had to see! I must admit to a slight disappointment when I realised that the actual bar wasn't the long bit (I had images of acres of polished bar, with barmen placed behind it at strategic intervals). It's actually the seating area that stretches practically the whole length of the station, where you are placed excitingly close to the trains as they draw in (fortunately shielded from you by a glass screen).
I can think of far worse places to sit with a glass of champers, and sat for a happy half hour admiring the magnificent glass roof and watching the Eurostar trains slide in and out of the station. Lovely.

We've just been searching for the ChampagneBar, as we have supplied the crystalware to them, and we see you've taken a great shot of one of our glasses. If you would be so kind to email me a high-res version of the photo, I'd be happy to exchange it for a pair of real flute glasses.
