OO-ER, NICE SAUSAGE MATE

Ah, food in tins.  Can go so badly wrong (that means you, tinned macaroni cheese) but sometimes you come across a product that you want to fill your entire cellar with in case of nuclear fallout.  Step up, Heinz Beans with Vegetable Sausages!  I'm not sure why I'm so fond of these - sure, baked beans are great, but the sausages only vaguely taste of anything and have the same sort of texture as cheese.  Still, they may be wrong, but forbidden love is perhaps the best (say I, casting a coveteous eye towards the Dairylea cheese slices).  If you're after a vegetarian sausage that actually tastes of something, try Cauldron Foods' Lincolnshire sausages.  I am always feeding these to people who think they're the real thing.

I guess then we should be planning on getting a food hamper for your B-day?! Any requests apart from peanut butter, sausages and soup? Bx
